Heritage North is happy to announce the new Heritage North postcard! Taken from an original design by Hilke MacIntyre and worked up by our graphic design partners Redpath, the two postcard designs feature a selection from the icons on display on our website banner. They have been chosen both for their interesting designs and their meaning. |

![]() The stone circles represent the ancient history of the area. A legacy from a time before written texts, their meaning is the subject of much conjecture. The Picasso-esque snuff-box portrays an icon of international celebrity, Prince Charles Edward Stuart; Bonnie Prince Charlie. The secret portrait under the lid of the box conveys the romance and excitement of the lost cause of Jacobitism, so integral to the myth and magic of the Highlands and Islands. |

![]() The Highlands and Islands are a place of industry, says our lady forester. Workers, both women and men, have their stories to tell. Finally, the lovable puffins remind us that, in the Highlands and Islands, not all heritage is man-made. Yet, even without this interpretation, the postcards are colourful, lively and witty. They will be an excellent eye-catcher for your desk, rack or hallway, reminding your visitors of their time at your place and sending them back to the website to relive their holiday. A free pack of these high-quality postcards can be yours simply by emailing us with your name and address. We will even pay the postage. Use the email at the foot of the page and mark the subject "Postcards" |
