  • Cultivating Prospects – Events vs Form Filling & unsolicited applications, how to get the balance right; Trusts and Foundations & Individual givers.
  • The ideal prospecting letter: asking for what you want – how to say everything you need about your organisation, your project, your previous success, your budget and why you need support on just 2 sides of A4.
  • Assessing forms – How to give the assessors what they are looking for.
  • Building Friendships – How to get the most from ‘Friends and Associates’; recognising the benefits of ‘in kind’ giving and volunteer ownership and involvement in all your projects; maximising planned giving.
  • Accessing the media – directories and sources; cultivating local & national contacts; varieties of media, incl. the importance of digital media.
  • Identifying the extraordinary in everyday – how to maximise your profile and gain free publicity by recognising the story potential in all your activities; planning ahead; recording events and activities – being your own journalist.
  • Writing Press Releases.
