This website has been established by HI-Arts, the cultural development agency for the Highlands and Islands, with funding from Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Museums and Galleries Scotland, and Forestry Commission Scotland. It is also the home for the ‘Learning Zone’, providing heritage groups in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland with access to training materials from the successful Skills Building for the Future programme, organised by a consortium including Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Highland Council, Moray Council, Argyll and Bute Council, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Orkney Islands Council, Shetland Islands Council, and funded through the Museums and Galleries Scotland ‘Regional Development Challenge Fund’. Use the "Frequently Asked Questions" page to answer any questions about the background behind the website. The "Comments and Quesions" page is for general enquiries, suggestions and comments, whereas the "Get Involved" page is specifically for heritage organisations - venues, societies and groups - to get an entry on the database. If you are already on the database, or if you share our interests, please use the "Link to Us" page to send traffic our way.
