Heritage North has friends everywhere. We got an email from Chris Goodwin in the USA who requests the help of our all knowing readership. He sends some pictures of a colourful and statuesque ewer, or water picther and asks if anyone knows anything about it. Whilst it may not be Highland produced it sports a Highland theme, that of Invergarry Castle. This was "passed down to my great grand-parents, in 1904-5" says Chris, "Cany anyone tell me anything more about it? There are no marks on the base." Can anyone help Chris? Anyone prepared to make a stab at the date of the Castle image? Anyone else got any questions, on Highlands and Islands History, that we can pitch our collective intellect at? Email Gordon at gordon@heritagenorth.co.uk. Here to help.
