Connecting with Nature through Creative Writing
Taking place from 20 February 2010 to 21 February 2010
Days Open: Saturday, Sunday
Event Times: 10:00 to 16:00
Categories: Arts, Environment and community, Heritage, Literature
Description: This two day residential workshop is an exploration of the transformative power of nature, landscape, and a sense of place through creative writing and gentle outdoor experiences.

The opportunities for personal awareness as a result of the experiences encountered during the workshop will not be left to chance and these will be safely facilitated. The workshop is for anyone who likes to write, or has aspirations to write about their deeper connection to self and nature, and who is interested in the transformational power of nature.

Participants will be guided through a range of creative writing activities set in the natural surrounds of the town of Cromarty on the tip of the Black Isle. In addition, some of the activities in the outdoors are designed to evoke a closer connection to nature and a deeper sense of self within this context.
Cost: Residential: £199.00 per person (B&B on Friday night, full board with evening meal on Saturday). Non-residential: £149.00 (but includes lunches, Saturday evening meal). (event)

Description: The Cromarty Training Centre is a restored and converted 18th Century Brewery. It provides excellent facilities for conferences, training, meetings and other events, with catering services and residential accommodation. The Training Centre becomes the Old Brewery for gigs. We may not be the biggest venue in the north, but we have an intimate atmosphere and great audiences, with many very special nights - come along and have a good time.
