Description:

The objects of the Society are the collection and preservation of Clan records, the preservation and publication of history of the Clan, whilst promotioning and supporting Scottish culture.
The Society produces a yearly magazine about 60 pages, sent to members all over the world, containing information on genealogy research, articles on achievements of mackenzies in history, various matters of interest in the cultural fields and details of the Diary for the Year as as below: Culloden Ceremony and Clan lunch; 3 Highland Games where we have our own tent if one not provided; Memorial Ceremony for Roderick Mackenzie at Glenmoriston and a picnic by the river; An AGM weekend of lectures, social event and business meetings.
Once every five years we hold an International Gathering in Strathpeffer where we hire a venue (2005, the Community Hall Strathpeffer) for the week and provided coach tours to West, South, East Highlands and Loch Ness on 5 days, gaelic lessons and country dance classes daily, 6 lectures, a Banquet, a Ball, Concert in Castle Leod, and various other fun things such as a torchlight parade and barbeques. (Over 300 people came from abroad (including Chile), mostly staying for the week.
