The Society holds monthly meetings during the Winter, open to all who are interested. In 2007 these include: "Rothiemurchus a hundred Years Ago" (Illustrated talk, 19th Jan); "Nature in Strathspey" (Illustrated Talk, 16th Feb); "Strathspey and the year of Highland Culture" (Exhibition Opening, 2nd March).

Besides creating exhibitions and contributing to the work of the Grantown Museum the Society organises historical walks including, this year, A Planned Town Trail, A School Walk, and "An historical Pub Crawl" in Association with Highland Archaeology Week and Strathspey in May.

The Society works closely with the Museum and is jointly responsible for the Grantown Archive. It also has links with local schools and other organisations.
