An International heritage interpretation conference will be held in Aviemore from 30th Sept to 3rd October this year as part of the Year of Highland culture. Subsidised places for community groups are available.

Interpret Scotland and the Association for Heritage Interpretation are jointly hosting The Vital Spark, an international conference about heritage interpretation in its many guises. It will take place at the Aviemore Highland Resort from Sunday 30 September to Wednesday 3 October, 2007. 

They are looking forward to welcoming over 300 delegates from many countries who will come together to share experiences, learn from each other and reinforce the networks that already exist among professional interpretation organisations and individual interpreters around the world.

Bookings for the conference will open on 1 February 2007, with discount rates for early bookings until 31 March.  There are a number of 50% discounted places available for Community representatives, who must be an employee of a non-profit community-based organisation. Evidence will be required of non-profit status.
