Moray a priority area for Heritage Lottery Fund
10 December 2006

The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has identified places that to date have received the least Heritage Lottery funding. Moray is one of five areas within Scotland where HLF development staff will work with local groups in these areas to promote our funding schemes and help develop project proposals. Jura Consultants have been commissioned by the HLF to assist a number of projects who have had difficulty in meeting the requirements of funding bodies. This assistance has included option appraisals, business planning and other types of project development.

In Scotland they have mentored a number of Townscape Heritage Initiative schemes. This is an area based regeneration scheme for towns deemed to have heritage merit that are suffering in terms of economic or social issues. Their role is specifically to act as mentors to the applicant to assist them develop their projects, whether at HLF Stage 1 or 2, and to guide them in producing the level of detail required in the correct format.

There is more information on funding from the HLF on their website or for a more general overview have a look at our funding page
