Quendale Mill highlights community art project

The Quendale Mill is to display a series of photographs taken in 2006 during a community art project. ‘Hands on the Past’ was part of the Shetland Museum and Archives Public Art Project and involved pupils from Anderson High School’s and Bells Brae Primary’s Additional Support Needs (ASN) Departments.

The stunning ironwork of Stornoway is the focus of a new exhibition. The celebration of the amazing decorative cast ironwork will go on display at Museum nan Eilean from April 9 in a joint project between Historic Scotland and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar. The exhibition will run until the end of the year.

Bringing the Past and the Future Together in the Highlands and Islands

This week the team at Highland Archaeology Services Ltd, will mark the fourth anniversary of the company's foundation, an occasion on which they will be celebrating a continuous and rapid growth, from 12 successfully completed projects in 2004, to 50 in 2007.
